Dallas Council Wants To Shut Down Poker Tables 2 Years After Allowing Them

This August, poker players are being treated to a host of online poker festivals with one of the biggest festivals being Luxon Pay’s Mediterranean Poker Party. The Mediterranean Poker Party is being held for the first time in North Cyprus. Participants will be treated to a jam-packed 3-week schedule that will consist of a selection of tournaments that range from a modest $550 and will climb up to a whopping $200,000.

The Mediterranean Poker Party is expected to take place between August 19th and September 17th at the just-opened Merit Royal Diamond Hotel. The newly launched Merit Royal Diamond boasts one of the biggest poker rooms in the world with a massive capacity of 200 tables.

The three weeks of action are expected to deliver some action-packed tournaments. However, the star of the festival is the Main Event, which had 3 Day 1s, each requiring a buy-in of $5,300 for participants to take part. Those that take part will take home a piece of the prize pool worth a guaranteed $5 million.

Professional poker players looking to take part in this tournament will need to have a starting stack of approximately 100,000. The blind format will play out to a 60-minute clock that will allow the best poker players in the tournament to quickly rise in the rankings. The first three events of the tournament’s Main Event flights will be held on August 29th with subsequent Day 1s beginning at the same time on the next day on August 3oth and August 31st.

Those poker players that survive Day 1S will move on to the festivities on September 1st with the field being narrowed down further on September 2nd. The Main Event’s last day will see the winner being crowned on September 3rd. Apart from the Main Event, other highlights throughout the tournament include the Eurasian Poker Tour, which requires a buy-in of $1,100.

Other great tournaments that participants can look forward to include the Malta Poker Festival Grand Event and the La Notte Degli Assi will both require a buy-in of $550. The Irish Open Mediterranean will also take place with a buy-in of $1,100 while the La Casa Della Carte event boasts one of the smallest buy-ins of $330.

Female poker players will be glad to know that Luxor Pay has also organized a festival, especially for them. The Ladies First event will see the ladies part with $100 to buy into the competition.

Kickstarting the festival on August 19th will be the MPP Open with a buy-in of $1,1000. This event promises a guarantee of $1,000,000 and will offer 3 starting flights. The tournament will conclude on August 23rd where the remaining poker players will face each other until a final winner is crowned.

During the first week of the festival, players will also be given the option to enter the MPP Warm up with a buy-in of $2,200. The Warm Up will follow the same structure as the Open but with a much higher prize guarantee of $2,000,000. Another event that is sure to attract some of the biggest high rollers in the poker scene will be the $10,400 buy-in High Roller.

In addition to all these opportunities, Luxon Pay is also offering participants a chance to compete for the $10,000 Mediterranean Poker Party package. All that participants have to do to snag the package is guess the correct number of poker players to enter the 2022 WSOP Main Event.

Poker players can also look forward to the Coin Rivet Invitational

The Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party will also be organizing a Coin Rivet Invitational to be held between September 10th and 12th. The invitational will be held at the Merit Royal Diamond and is only going to attract high rollers capable of handling the massive buy-in of $200,000.

The Coin Rivet Invitational will only allow a singular re-retry and will attempt to replicate the 2019 Triton Million that was held in London. This tournament brought together some of poker’s highest-earning professionals to compete alongside recreational players for the champion title in one of the richest poker tournaments in the history of the game.

In 2019, the 50 participants that took part ended up creating a pool of £54 million. Only one poker player though emerged as the winner. After 3 days of intense poker action, Aaron Zang from China was crowned champion, as well as the winner of the top cash prize of $16.7 Million.

This year’s tournament is expected to generate even better results. This year’s tournament will be split into 2 main phases. The action will start with 32 professionals competing on one side of the bracket while another 32 recreational players challenge each other on the other. After the conclusion of Day 1, the tournament will combine the 2 brackets, which will allow the surviving poker players to battle for the title.

The winner of this year’s WSOP Jorstad was among the first of the elite poker players to receive an invitation. Jorstad then extended an invite to recreational player Rob Yong on July 30th.  Other professional poker players expected to take part include Phil Ivey, Krish Menon, Paul Phua, and more.

GGPoker and Triton announced a partnership in March

In March, GGPoker announced its new sponsorship deal with Triton Poker. As part of this partnership, GGPoker was allowed to add its logos and tables, as well as the coverage of the tournaments organized during the Triton Poker Cyprus Special.

The Triton Poker special was held in April at the Merit Hotel and Casino in North Cyprus. This tournament overlapped with the   Super High Roller Bowl Europe running that was held in the same location. As the Triton poker series’ premier partner, GGPoker brought a wealth of experience that enhanced the thrills and spills that poker players have come to expect at poker festivals and tournaments.

Triton Poker featured various gaming options across 6 action-filled days that included short deck ante and of course no-limit hold’em. As a result of this partnership, the 2 brands can now collaborate on live events where GGPoker will supply its online platforms with options for earning seats to various poker events through exclusive online satellites.
